A disciple asked me to write in calligraphy a statement found
in one of my works:菩提心是为究竟利益一切众生。
一弟子要求我写一句在我作品中所发现的句子：菩提心是为究竟利益一切众生。
In the context there, it is quite clear that the meaning is
that the aim of Bodhi aspiration is such.
在那文中，此句相当清楚的显示出菩提愿心的目地就是如此。
But when this statement stands on its own, it might convey a sense
that Bodhicitta has a purpose. In the ultimate sense, that would not be correct because Bodhicitta is harmonious union of wisdom and compassion and as such all Bodhi activities are natural expressions of it without any goal or purposes. So I modified it and then write the resulting statement in the attached calligraphy.
但是当此句子独立出来时，它可能表达出菩提心是有一个意图的意涵。就最终的意义而言，那就不是对的，因为菩提心是智慧和慈悲的圆融结合，因而如此的所有菩提行为都是自然的呈现，并没有任何的目标或意图。所以我修改了它然后将此句子写在附呈的翰墨上。
May all beings attain Enlightenment soon!
愿一切众生早日成佛！
