我念未消总念人,放下对象我念消;

The Idea of Self Yutang Lin

Thoughts about others won cease before self-concern ends.
Releasing objects of concern from mind is reduction of self.
What would be the state of "the flesh turning into the truth"?
Inner and outer activities all conform willingly to principles.

Comment:

Before the idea of self ceases to function there are always thoughts about how others are. In fact, such lingering concerns signify one own grasping. Releasing such reflections would simultaneously reduce some degree of grasping to self. All thoughts concerning one and others evaporated, while inner and outer activities follow purely principles that are applicable in general. Such a state might be close to what is called, "the flesh turning into the truth"?
