Undertaking the Mission Yutang Lin
Buddhist theories are subtle and attainment profound;
Contrary to worldly trends, few can follow in practice.
Fakery and contempt attack practitioners at every turn;
To sustain purity for all, I undertake the mission alone.
Comment:
Buddhist theories are subtle and wondrous; it is very difficult to comprehend them thoroughly. Buddhist attainments are so profound that few had reached the depths. Both the theory and the practices are contrary to worldly trends, only few can have deep faith enough in them to adopt the practices seriously. Fakery for worldly gains and contempt out of ignorance or misunderstanding are abundant. In order to preserve sincerity in the world, I volunteered to undertake the mission even all alone. The responsibility is heavy and the path is lengthy; I rely on Buddhas' compassion.
