Intending to win
Eventually the outcome must be a loss
Because all are impermanent
There is no perpetual victor

Intending to benefit
Away from antagonism and competition
Only caring and peace remain
Personal ups and downs become no problem
Activities of benefiting may continue forever

Bodhi mind is the intention to benefit
All sentient beings
For their ultimate and rightful interests
Dharma practitioners
Need to see this point clearly
Never forget the intention to benefit
