FLESH IS ALL THE SAME

1.
Beasts are also sentient beings,
All flesh is of the same thing!
We see they are so helpless,
We should have great compassion!

2.
I advise all readers,
Must know killing is a sin.
Don't eat meat, set them free,
You win the real peace within!

"PARENT AND SON"

"Parent and Son" a name of Japan-dish!
Eat "Hen and egg" at same time men do wish!
Next life will be rewarded and eaten,
When shall all the circulation finish?!

THE GIRAFFE

Giraffe is said to be so kind,
He's endowed with a divine mind.
Neither walks on the growing grass,
Nor steps on living beings he finds.

We all ought to take his example,
Let no tiny creature be trampled!
Keep our Bodhi-citta so well,
Ev'n we are men we must be humble.

DON'T CATCH BUTTERFLY

The war is still going on!
Surely it's due to our wrong!
Why should we enjoy to hurt,
Giraffe has not come so long!

(It is said when Giraffe is coming the world may be peaceful.)

LEST THEY DROWN

Don't say the life of insects are too small,
When they are drowned even they could not call;
Yet their lives are equal to multitude,
So we should have benevolence to all.

DON'T KILL FLY

If you say flies are dirty,
You may fan it away!
Why should kill without pity?
Owe other's life, who's to pay?!

DON'T SHOOT BIRDS

Who says life of birds has no meaning?
It has passion as well as human beings.
You are advised not to shoot any kind bird,
Whose youth wishes her Ma back and is looking.

SHE BLESSED BOTH FIELD AND HOME

When I was a baby I remember drank her milk,
I was really her robber.
When I was growing till now I am old,
I eat the rice which is of her labour.

Now even those scholars of the West,
Preach humanity and have done their best.
They take vegetable only but not meat,
Such remarkable habit is from the East.

ONE WOULD RATHER DIE

When hunter the forest enters,
All birds are struck with terror,
With whip when comes murderer,
All dogs bark as meet warrior.

If no faith on cause and effect,
Seeing these, see yourself in mirror!
I would rather die than to eat--
The meat like my father, mother!

FOR THE STAR OF GLUTTONY

Why do you kill hens more than before?
When celebration is held at your door,
You do not care for the victim's tear;
While wishing your family to have cheer!

NEW YEAR'S EVE

Neighbor's cooks usually heard in night,
Now neither I hear nor I see in sight.
Thousands of knives are red instead of white.
Enjoy it with wine, how could it be right?

I LOVE THIS LITTLE WEED

I love this little and green weed,
Such vivid nature I need.
I water it day by day,
Could I every being feed?!

SEND THE FISH BACK AND GIVE ADVICE

When a bait is seen,
Shut your mouth and in!
Not like the whale does,
Killing causes killing!

A RANSOMED DUCK

Of all the greatest crime is to kill.
Of all the greatest worth is good will.
I insisted on the duck's ransome,
So he may live long and wholesome.

RELEASING CEREMONY

A drop of pure water,
Blessed by the master.
May all be free from pains,
No killing at all, hence!

A MAINED BEAUTY

The lovely fragrance is no more,
When flower is mained outdoors!
It will last only for two days,
Blossom now, but fade tomorrow!

AN IMPRISONED SINGER

When a man is imprisoned,
Ev'n youth may become old age!
What would be the feeble bird,
If it were shut in a cage!

HOMEWARD BOUND

When sun is set in the evening,
Village cooking smoke is arising.
When the little bird flies back without harm,
We enjoy them to love their sweet home.

NEIGHBORLINESS

All the world will be peaceful,
To creatures, men do no harm.
When Ahimsa is achieved,
It's like stars surround the moon.

MISS BUTCHER

When a finger is dipped into water boiling,
One feels as though the whole body is hurting.
When a needle accidentally pricks into ones flesh,
One feels as though the whole body has been beating.

When fish is killed by butcher and begs for life,
And a chicken wails at the edge of her knife,
It is quite sure they too suffer with whole body,
But Miss Butcher does think that she will be good wife.

MURDER OF FLESH

Man's body is vertical,
While beast is horizontal.
Men fight battles with crowd,
Beast with teeth and claws.
The world of flesh like thus,
To insure life no cause.
A tiger appears, man does fear,
To think like tiger, who is dear?
Don't think fat of flesh,
Makes lean a pleasure.
Both are like morning dew,
Long life is very few!
Let us have pity for all,
No tiger man we should call.
Do practice the Dharma,
And stop the bad Karma!

FEED PIG, FEED ONESELF

For one's tongue, feeds the pig as friend,
Love in beginning but cruel at end.
If pig knew what its purpose would be,
It would not eat even what you send.

But the poor thing is not aware,
What will happen for being so fat.
If man eating it takes no care,
He will become pig or his mate!

DON'T KILL

Where there is life, there is desire to live.
Man and beast all are the same, I do believe.
The most frightful thing is that to be killed.
Vivisect the flesh is painful thing to grieve.
When a fowl is caught even before cut,
It is already frightened, no hope to leave.
Even though it wants to be saved but who knows,
When you cut its throat a death to receive.
We do know all tortures so happen,
How could we eat after such things to perceive?

TOPSY-TURVY HANDLING

What crimes have the poor things done,
To deserve tortures so long!
First you bind its feet tightly,
Then you keep them hanging down.
Finally you cut its neck.
Do you think it is not wrong?
Try ask your own good conscience.
Think of your death too will come!

DON'T EAT MEAT

After seeing her living,
How could bear her dying?
After hearing her gurgling,
How could you send her cooking?
One ought to have compassion,
Please tongue not with killing.

A KITCHEN SCENE

Chopping board becomes red,
The knife is full of blood.
Thousand cuts in small pieces,
Cooked on fire, fried with cheese.
Victims are those hens and fishes.
Long time to grow for short dish.
If there were not any crime,
There might be no divine.

LAST NIGHT'S CATCH

Still we proud and utter from mouth,
"Last night I succeeded to catch mouse."
Such a crime should only repent,
Confession should be made in course.

A FREE TREAT!

Do not say the goodness is too small,
When save one, try to think save all.
Though cost nothing but have a good will,
Better than the Buddha's name to call!

EQUALITY

Your flesh is the same as mine,
Insect not rough, man not fine.
Distinction only in forms,
Soul is equal as one line.

DRINK AND EAT

The one who eats meat is mean,
Cannot be called a kind man.
Also he drinks wine there with,
Losing all wits, do good in vain!

ACCEPTANCE OF AHIMSA

A human being is not perfect.
White cloth is stained, cannot protect.
When one is decided not to err,
The whole world would praise this good fact.

CONCORD

In the ancient time of peace,
Man, lion and tiger do kiss.
Men were rich and beasts were free,
No difference between them and me!
