老顧自身太狹隘,不見自醜欠客觀;

Facing Mirror Yutang Lin

Constantly looking at oneself would be too confined.
Not seeing one's own flaws means lack of objectivity.
Learning from others' examples, how could it be easy?
Refraining from speaking one's mind till open mind met.

Comment:

Some likes to face mirror and spends long time working on appearance; such indulgence in one's self without realizing its confinement. Some are prompt to criticize others, with sharp words pouring out instantaneously, without realizing their own flaws and faults. Being objective to oneself and others, and hence could benefit through learning from others' examples, how could this be an easy feat? Intentions to offer advice are often kept from expression because they need to wait for open-minded ones to make a sensible revelation.
