病中易體眾生苦,觀攝眾病以代受;

行者雖病不忘修,體會眾苦每加深;
整體動員除垢障,潛藏積弊一併除;

Illness as Helpful Practice Yutang Lin

During illness it is easier to appreciate sentient beings'sufferings.
Use visualization to absorb illnesses of beings to suffer for them.
Blockage accumulated over years is cleared away along with ill.
The process of recovery will enhance one's physical capabilities.

Comment:

Even in sickness a practitioner will not forget to practice Dharma.
Thus appreciation of sentient beings' sufferings might go deeper.
Visualize the suffering experienced absorbed all illnesses of beings.
May one's own endurance help reduce the sufferings of all others.

Mobilization of the whole-body functions clears away ailments.
Hidden accumulated ailments all cleared away along with this.
Once recovered one's physical capabilities became enhanced.
Resume steady steps forward on the path with a fresh look.
