Subject: Two Works in Calligraphy

Disciple Wang Hao wrote that he liked the poem in F1456, so I wrote it in calligraphy to encourage him.

Disciple Shu Zhen would like to have my calligraphy on the poem in F1458, so I wrote one for her. The one I wrote a few days ago was done when my hand was still not so steady due to tiredness from the trip (I did not realize this until I was writing), so we will post this new one instead of the previous one.

May all beings attain Enlightenment soon!

Love, the Flower of Freedom Yutang Lin

Love is the flower of freedom
Only in the complete absence of artificial maneuvers
Will it bloom naturally to the fullest extent

The more comparison, the more demands
Will render the flower of Love the more withered
Love cannot uphold shackles

Using all calculations and speech skills, employing all means
Even though superficial compliances had been obtained
Alas, Love had been buried

To receive true Love, practice first no grasping and no self
