Refraining from Misapplication

Yutang Lin

One thought along self-interest road, one thread wound;
Spinning a cocoon to become self-confined, who suffers?
Right view shines forth to dispel presence of any illusion.
Refraining from misapplication of mind, peace soon arrives.

Comments:

Whenever there is a thought of attachment, the body would be wound by a corresponding thread of entanglement. In the light of this understanding, one should refrain from misapplication of the mind. The earlier one would give up all illusions of self-centered considerations, the sooner one would regain original peace and tranquility.
