Pureland School and Vajrayana both adore
Purity beyond contamination although stemming from mud.

Comments:

Early this morning I learned of the holy names, Precious Lotus Tathagata and Double Lotus Tathagata, in a dream. These are not well-known names. Fortunately they were revealed to me, so I respectfully record them lest they be lost in memory. Lotus represents purity beyond worldly contamination. In Pureland sutras and Vajrayana teachings lotuses are frequently mentioned.
